A class project in which we had to find the alphabet and numerals out in the real world. Some people found them in nature or around town; I happened to be in Hereford, Texas (better known as the beef capital of the world) and mozied around this old Texas town finding the alphabet in old painted type on buildings, shop walls, doors, and signs. This’ll show you a glimpse of this charming little town in the panhandle of Texas.
Communication Arts Student Subscriptions
The objective was to increase subscription sales of Communication Arts Magazine on college campuses by 25% in one year. Our media was limited to posters, newspaper inserts, and direct mail pieces. We found the big motivator for students to actually subscribe to Comm Arts was the inspiration it provides them, as up-and-coming creative professionals. So, in a fun, appealing way we created a poster/newspaper insert illustrating the inspiration the “Comm Arts Idea Machine” will give them. They can go from a dirty swine to the modern miracle of bacon with the inspiration Comm Arts has to offer.
